ABOUT

Based in Fairbanks, Alaska, Fireweed Fiddle is a high-spirited acoustic roots band blending fiddle-driven Americana with a lively mix of folk, bluegrass, outlaw country, swing, and blues. Led by fiddler, vocalist, and songwriter Rachel DeTemple, the band is known for their energetic performances, genre-blending originals, and clever covers.
With Adam Owen (guitar, mando, banjo, and vocals), Jon Oestreich (bass, guitar, and vocals), and Brian Carroll (drums, guitar, bass, and vocals), Fireweed Fiddle brings a seasoned lineup of Alaskan musicians who know how to engage a crowd and deliver the feels —whether they’re playing a front-porch fiddle tune, a jazzy swing number, or a heartfelt original.
From intimate Wellness Shows through the Fairbanks Concert Association to blistering sets at Chickenstock, Fireweed Fiddle has become a staple of the Interior Alaska music scene. Their shows are upbeat, inviting, and full of character—perfect for fans of old-time, folk, and acoustic soul with a Northern flair.
